What is metro center mall?

Metrocenter Mall was a shopping mall located in Phoenix, Arizona. It opened in 1973 and was one of the largest malls in the United States at the time. The mall had over 200 stores and restaurants, as well as a movie theater and indoor ice skating rink.

In its heyday, Metrocenter Mall was a popular shopping destination for residents of Phoenix and the surrounding areas. However, in recent years, the mall struggled to attract customers and many of its anchor stores closed. In 2020, the mall officially closed its doors for good.

Despite its closure, Metrocenter Mall remains a significant part of Phoenix's history and many local residents have fond memories of shopping and spending time at the mall. Plans are currently underway to redevelop the site into a mixed-use development with retail, residential, and commercial space.
